Wireless Gateway

This is a Wi-Fi and cellular gateway for Ethernet, RS232, and RS485. The device analyzes the Modbus protocol and then transfers the data to the cloud server. The device is equipped with an ESP32S3 WiFi & BLE SoC, W5500 Ethernet chip, Quectel 4G cellular module, and MAX485 chip. The ESP32 chip uses Bluetooth provisioning.

What We Did

  • Designing the schematic and PCB, and ESP-IDF programming to analyze the data from ethernet and RS485, and transfer data to the AWS IoT Core using Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE module.
  • Designing the enclosure and the 3D model, Prototyping using a 3D printer.
  • Collaboration with software developers to build the cloud server using AWS IoT Core.
