Project Overview

The EcoSense system is a modular indoor farm monitoring platform designed to improve crop health and operational efficiency. It uses Air Nodes to measure climate conditions such as temperature, humidity, light quality, and VPD, and Water Nodes to track water temperature, pH, TDS, and EC. These devices connect via Wi-Fi to the EcoSense cloud, where an Intelligent Virtual Agronomist (IVA) analyzes data, detects anomalies, and generates actionable insights. With easy plug-and-play setup, real-time alerts, camera-based monitoring, and compatibility with third-party sensors, the system enables farms to streamline workflows, reduce labor costs, and make faster, data-driven decisions.

Challenge

Indoor farms require continuous monitoring of climate, water quality, and lighting to maintain crop health. Integrating multiple sensing nodes, ensuring reliable connectivity, managing high-volume data streams, and delivering real-time alerts presented a technical challenge. The system also needed to support plug-and-play installation, easy expansion, and seamless integration with third-party sensor providers.

Solution

ZyntelliTech built a modular IoT architecture that links Air Nodes, Water Nodes, and imaging devices to the EcoSense cloud platform. The sensing nodes collect environmental and plant-level parameters and stream them securely to the cloud, where an Intelligent Virtual Agronomist (IVA) analyzes trends and generates actionable insights. The system supports rapid onboarding, Wi-Fi networking, and clean integration with external sensor ecosystems, enabling farms to scale without disrupting existing setups.
