KOBO is an advanced paddle analytics platform designed to transform raw sensor telemetry into actionable performance intelligence. Built for athletes and coaches, the system integrates a connected paddle sensor with a mobile application to deliver real-time insights such as impact quality, paddle orientation, ball speed, spin estimation, and stroke consistency. The platform features a robust connect–validate–stream BLE architecture to ensure reliable device communication, combined with a deterministic signal processing pipeline that converts raw pressure and IMU data into meaningful metrics. KOBO also includes a comprehensive calibration system for improved accuracy and an AI-powered feedback engine that analyzes performance across multiple timeframes to provide actionable coaching insights. With local data persistence, session tracking, and advanced visualization tools, KOBO delivers a complete, data-driven training ecosystem.

Challenge

Ensuring reliable real-time data acquisition and processing from BLE sensors while maintaining accuracy, low latency, and meaningful interpretation of complex motion and impact signals.

Solution

Designed a protocol-aware BLE pipeline with strict validation to guarantee data integrity, combined with a calibrated signal processing framework and sensor fusion algorithms to derive accurate metrics.
